Who's this wavelad guy then?

My name isn't really The Wavelad, it's Mark Restuccia. I've worked as a voiceover artist and audiobook narrator for over 20 years and have voiced everything from international TV commercials to epic audiobooks. I've also worked as an audio post engineer for even longer than that, heading up sound departments in Soho post houses in the big smoke as well as years of freelance work. 

I’ve voiced hundreds of projects, including TV and radio ads for global brands, corporate narrations, gaming characters, and even puppets. Under my pseudonym Dan Calley, I have narrated well over 300 audiobooks, frequently collaborating with Big Five publishers and top-tier independent authors where I have carved out a niche in the romance genre.

I also co-wrote, produced, dited and mixed the award-winning sci-fi comedy podcast, Best in Galaxy. Across six seasons, I voiced over 20 distinct characters and earned a Parsec Award for Best Comedy Podcast (yup, no idea either). Before this, I spent nine years as a stand-up comedian on the UK circuit, watching my peers find fame while I honed my craft as a voiceover dude.

Through the years, I’ve gained invaluable insight into what truly works (and more importantly what doesn't) and how to master a professional landscape that often feels inaccessible to newcomers.

I am now dedicated to passing that hard-won knowledge on to those just starting out, which is exactly why I founded The Wavelad.
